George’s – formerly The Astor Room – at Kaufman Astoria Studios is a celebration of inventive American cuisine and New York’s glamorous cinematic history. Named after the late George Kaufman, founder of Kaufman Astoria Studios, George’s pays homage to the early movie stars who frequented the space when it was home to the Paramount Pictures commissary during the 1920s and 30s. Today, menu items inspired by this history (such as Rudolph Valentino’s favorite six-foot spaghetti), a vast signature cocktail list and a regular schedule of live jazz, cabaret and other entertainment make George’s a dining experience unlike anything in New York City.
