The Roman Catholic Church of the Epiphany is in New York City’s Gramercy area. It was founded in 1868 by Father Richard Lalor Burtsell. It is a parish church of the Archidiocese of New York located at 373 Second Avenue at the corner of East 22nd Street in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Their first church was designed by Napoleon LeBrun and built in 1869-70. It was dedicated on April 3, 1870. This church burnt down in December 1963.The current church was designed by Belfatto & Pavarini and built in 1965-67 for $1,200,000 on the same lot as the previous church. The church has been called the most positive modernist religious statement on Manhattan Island to date.It’s parish office hours are Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The office is closed on Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays.
