For Customers In The USA.
Due to the nature of the current FAA legal structure we can not offer remote controlled helicopter filming or photos at this time for hire. The FAA will soon pass certain regulations and certifications allowing for this unique type of flying for hire within the N.A.S. The legislation allowing us to offer this service is expected to be passed very soon. Until then this website will remain awaiting this new legislation and for clients outside the USA. At the present moment we can only fly our remote film helicopters as a personal hobby, this is perfectly legal in the USA. Read on for an alternative method.
Alternative As an alternative for clients in the U.S. we can still operate and perform all aerial photography and video flights via traditional manned helicopter anywhere in the United States. We can also plan for future remote helicopter flights to take place once legislation and certification is in place. We are also exploring low altitude aerial media via a tethered airship under 500 feet. There is a very good chance that we can find an alternative for your project. SkyCamUsa can also fly closer to subjects and perform shots too dangerous for a full size aircraft. Our system is also excellent for chase shots. Its a great alternative to SpiderCam and takes less time to set up. We are able to fly about 10 lbs of camera weight. This includes High Definition Digital Video Cameras such as the Sony EX1, Panasonic HVX200, HPX170 and certain modified Motion Picture Super 16 and 35mm Film Cameras. What aircraft requires more fuel to fly.. one that weighs 20 pounds or 2000 pounds? Full size aircraft produce thousands of pounds of CO2 and other green house gasses each time they fly. Our carbon footprint is thousands of times less.

This gives some bragging rights to a production to mention the amount of Carbon Emissions saved, especially for green productions. This Eco Friendly solution is a win win for everyone.

Remote RC Aerial Photography & HD Video Via Helicam All flights conducted by a Licensed FAA Commercial Pilot. This offers a safety margin that other companies can not offer with an experienced pilot at the controls of all full sized and remote controlled aircraft. If needed we can also use full size manned aircraft for aerial photography and video.
