Play Rugby USA, USA Rugby and local rugby programs welcome AUT University and famous All Blacks: Michael Jones and Frano Botica
AUT University have a fantastic study abroad program in New Zealand. They are developing a network with various American universities to offer students exchange opportunties between New Zealand and the USA.
From November 7 - 15 the AUT team will be conducting a road show across the country with legendary New Zealand national team players Michael Jones and Frano Botica. AUT and the Friends of AUT (a 501c3 tax deductible charity) are offering a series of free coaching clinics to local communities in addition to initiating fundraising functions in NYC and Washington DC to support player and coach scholarships for once in a lifetime opportunity to study and play rugby in New Zealand next summer.
The New York City reception on November 11 promises to be a spectacular event with Kevin Roberts, Chairman of USA Rugby and Worldwide CEO of Saatchi and Saatchi acting as MC for an evening including New Zealand food, beverages, legendary players and engaging panel discussions.

HUGE INTEREST FOR SPRING RUGBY 7's
24 schools which could represent as many as 48 teams have formally indicated interest in the Spring Rugby 7's program run by Play Rugby USA in partnership with the NYC Public Schools Athletic League. The budget for the program is in review and due to the huge demand Play Rugby USA will be working with the PSAL to secure supplemental donations and sponsorships to support this program. The program will provide NYC public school students that meet the academic requirements an opportunity to participate in 8 hours of rugby / week which will provide them with significant health, wellness and life-skills to further their opportunities to graduate high school and go on college (perhaps to play rugby) and for life. Fall Play Rugby USA Youth team practices and games:
2 Autumn weekend programs have been established for students 6 - 14yrs old to give them the opportunity to practice and compete out of school time.
ROCKAWAY YOUTH RUGBY CLUB have started their practices every Saturday from 10 - 11:30 at the Fort Tilden Rugby Fields.
All equipment is provided just come dressed for the weather and bring a drink.
COST: $120 for 7 sessions and entry to 3 elementary only Tournaments

A weekend club has also been established in MANHATTAN practicing every Sunday at Chelsea Water side park (23rd and 12th) from 12pm-1:30
Again this is open to 6-14yr olds and all equipment is provided.
COST: 140 for 8 sessions including entry for elementary students into 3 tournaments
