Bleier Dental Practice
Periodontics is the dental specialty that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of gum disease. After diagnosis, the goal of periodontal therapy is to preserve the dentition in a state of health, comfort, and function with appropriate esthetics. Periodontal Disease has been shown to be a contributing factor in medical conditions such as cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, diabetes, respiratory disease, strokes, cancer, osteoporosis, dementia in aging and low birth weight babies. With these medical conditions and others, Dr. Bleier in his diagnosis and treatment will consult with your physician, when necessary, to insure the best treatment options and overall health. He utilizes a full range of both surgical and non-surgical periodontal procedures including scaling and root planning, anti-microbial therapy, gingival grafts, cosmetic gingival and periodontal plastic surgery, bone growth enhancement grafts to help restore the bone supporting structures of the teeth loss by the periodontal disease process, occlusal(bite) diagnosis and occlusal therapy, osseous surgery, ridge augmentation, frenectomies, root coverage procedures, enamel shaping procedures, oral medicine, oral pathology diagnosis and biopsies as well as both conventional Nobel Biocare Implants and the newer MDI Mini implants for those edentulous areas of the mouth where there may be little bone remaining to place conventional implants.
