Several schematic designs were generated to explore the multiple options of embracing the views and vistas of the valley below and the rolling mountains in the background. The design of the pool complex was chosen to take advantage of these views and emphasize the spectacular panoramic scenery. The Imprescia Residence located in the valleys of Putnam is a quaint house located at the end of a cul-de-sac and had particularly no curbside appeal. With wood a picket entry gates and lighted pillars a formal entrance was established. Perennial planting and flowering plum trees help to enhance the idea of a cottage setting. New stone walkways and additional planting on berms were incorporated to beatify the main entrance of the house and help direct visitors to the newly installed front entrance foyer with pendulant lamp and purple front door.

Several landscape designs were developed for this practically difficult hillside site located in the farmlands of Katonah, New York. By providing multiple designs it allowed the homeowner to choose from several different design options. The main criteria throughout the design process was to provide an outdoor space and connections that would not have any large or over-powering retaining walls. Naturalistic stonewalls, grading changes and steps were used in this hilly site to provide the large outdoor eating area.
