Read the United Way 2-1-1/CONTACT Lifeline Blog: Stories from the Ground at 2-1-1 by Jill W. Ordonez, call center director. Sometimes funny, sometimes, heartbreaking, always illuminating, the stories will always help you understand the reality of human service work and the needs of people in our community in one click.
Family and Children's Service is proud to announce a new service, Crisis Chat, officially launched in August 2010. Crisis Chat is a confidential Instant Messaging service for anyone who is in crisis and needs to talk and prefers to communicate via text. FCS is thankful to the New York State Office of Mental Health for its investment in the new service.
