ABC Pet City is the one-stop shop for all of your pet needs. Our locally owned and family-operated pet store specializes in fresh and saltwater aquariums but we also keep and sell birds, small animals and reptiles. We carry a wide selection of pet supplies, including dog and cat food, leashes and treats for your furry friends.
Our goal is to make the pet and aquarium hobby as simple and inexpensive as possible as well as self-sustaining. Our breeding and propagation projects ensure that fewer fish, corals and animals have to be collected in the wild or mass-produced in hatcheries or large-scale farms. With personalized attention to each of our clients, we are able to educate our customers about the proper maintenance of the pets they would like to keep.
We opened our store in the late 1990s with the intent of serving Rochesters pet and aquarium hobbyist community. ABC Pet City was founded by Aleks M. Aleks is an accomplished, lifelong hobbyist who has achieved success with breeding dozens of different types of fish. He has been maintaining aquariums since the 1960s and specializes in aquarium system design and custom filtration fabrication. He also has more than 10 years of experience in keeping and breeding numerous birds, small animals and reptiles.
